I love creating hand made fine silver wax seal jewelry from my personal collection of unique antique wax seals, some dating back to the late 1700's! Historically, wax seals were used in correspondence... the wax seal would securely bond a letter closed, serving as a stamp of authenticity and privacy, verifying to its recipient who the sender was and that the letter had not been tampered with. I use these seals by hand stamping them into fine silver so each and every one is unique and slightly different! I use a variety of metalsmith techniques to complete each charm... creating wonderful personalized pendants... old world charm made wearable!
