I wanted to add recycled glass jewelry to my line but chose to avoid any confusion between authentic sea glass and recycled glass shards, so decided to create handmade recycled glass beads. While researching the process and equipment, I discovered an artist in Africa who was gathering recycled bottles from around the world and making his own handmade recycled glass beads. I am thrilled to purchase his beads through fair trade and wrap them in sterling silver wire to create my jewelry.
